Strong team

We believe that work should be enjoyable. We create and take advantage of opportunities to get together, both to work and enjoy each other’s company. Our headquarters in Reykjastræti offer many exciting possibilities to host events and offer various recreation. The Bank’s employees have created many interesting groups that contribute to team building, such as a literary society, an equestrian group, movie buff group and more.

Starfsmaður

Flexible work environment

Employees have the option of working remotely as part of normal work hours, as and when individual duties allow. We can choose between different workstations, selecting the environment that best suits each task.

Competitive terms

We emphasise offering competitive terms. This refers not only to wages but encompasses parental leave payments, vacation housing and various grants. We offer a 5.5% employer's contribution to private pension schemes during the first 3 years of employment and 7% after 3 years employment.

Training and development

We encourage the members of our team to seek knowledge, to develop and grow both professionally and personally. Targeted education and training are offered in-house to ensure that we possess the necessary competencies to perform. We also offer grants for outside education.

We want our environment and the Bank’s corporate culture to make us feel safe and support welfare. Effective preventative measures, clear work processes and firm support systems have been put in place to make this happen.
Bullying, sexual and gender-based harassment, and any other violence is not tolerated under any circumstances. In the case of EKKO events, we follow Landsbankinn’s response plan.

The team is very ambitious and likes to participate in various workplace competitions, such as Lífshlaupið and Hjólað í vinnuna, as well as exercising together in hiking clubs, golf clubs, a bootcamp group and more.

Konur við skjá

Well-being

We contribute to mental and physical healthcare in various ways. Employees are offered a yearly health evaluation, two psychology sessions every 12 months at no cost and additional access to psychologists and general healthcare with Vinnuvernd, the Bank’s partner.

Family-friendly workplace

We focus on mutual flexibility that enables a balance between work and private life. Our team receives support through different stages of life, for example by ensuring 80% of wages during parental leave through a supplemental grant against payment from the parental leave fund.

Warm welcome and experience

We know that first impressions are important and our reception of new team members reflects that. The entire hiring process up to and including the first workday and training is aimed at ensuring a good experience. We are also open to suggestions on how we could do even better!

Diversity and equality

Each individual is recognised by their own worth at Landsbankinn and we all have equal job development opportunities. We create a platform for active debate and awareness about equality in a wider sense and strive to listen and learn from different perspectives. We are guided by respect for the individual and do not tolerate discrimination in the workplace.

We are leading in sustainable development and aim to continue on that path. We put a great deal of effort into knowing the environmental impact of our operation and have committed to science-based climate targets. Employees can enter into a transport agreement with the Bank, provided they utilise eco-friendly transportation to and from work. The maximum grant is ISK 120,000 per annum.
