You can carry out SWIFT transfers to overseas accounts in the same currency at any time in online banking and the app, and between 09:00 and 16:00 on working days in the case of ISK transfers to foreign currency accounts.
To complete the transfer, you need:
- The name and address of the recipient (street address, postal code and city)
- The IBAN number of the recipient’s account (Europe) or the recipient's account number (outside Europe), the SWIFT code of the recipient's bank (Europe), the Routing number/ABA or Federal Wire (USA), Transit number (Canada) and Bank Code (Australia)
- Amount (foreign currency)
- Note on the payment (optional)
- The Central Bank’s correct classification code
