Landsbankinn makes a donation to Krýsuvíkursamtökin in the name of Exceptional Companies
As in previous years, Landsbankinn has made a donation to a good cause in the name of all Exceptional Companies recognised by Creditinfo. This year, the donation of ISK 4 million goes to Krýsuvíkursamtökin.

A total of 1,131 companies were recognised as Exceptional Companies in 2024.
Krýsuvíkursamtökin is the joint undertaking of both private individuals and companies. The organisation operates a treatment facility at Krýsuvík for people who have become addicted to drugs. Treatment at Krýsuvík is based on the 12-step programme and takes 6 months at a minimum. All main aspects of substance use disorders are addressed and clients also receive help to treat trauma and financial advice. The treatment is individualised and meets the needs of each client on their own terms. The organisation aims to offer its clients an opportunity to recover and re-enter society as productive members of society.

Changes include a completely new approach to payments, a new log-in and authentication processes and a new dashboard that facilitates overview. In the past weeks, users have gradually been transitioned to the new online banking version. We plan to complete the migration by the end of March.
