81% of employees in Landsbankinn’s branches are women and many of them will participate in the Women’s Strike scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday 24 October, and not be at work.
Due to the strike of women and non-binary people, the Bank’s branches and service outlets will be closed on Tuesday.
Our Customer Service Centre will be open, as will our web chat, but customers can expect longer wait times than usual.
Remember that almost all banking business can be tended to in the app and online banking.

We warn against phishing emails that have been sent in the name of the Icelandic Tax Authority (Skatturinn). The email, which is in Icelandic, claims that the tax authorities have updated your tax return information and instructs you to access these details through the Skatturinn service portal by clicking a link included in the email.

Landsbankinn’s branches and Customer Service Centre will be closed on Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Eve, the Bank is open until 12:00, which means that branches that generally open at 12:00 are closed that day. General opening hours apply on other days. The app and online banking are of course available anytime and anywhere.
