Community grants in the total amount of ISK 15 million were awarded from Landsbankinn’s Community Fund on 21 December. A total of 32 projects received financial support. The projects are varied and benefit people of all ages and throughout Iceland.
Three projects received grants in the amount of ISK 1 million, two projects received ISK 750,000 grants, 15 projects received ISK 500,000 grants and 12 projects received ISK 250,000 grants.
The Fund received over 300 applications for this disbursement. Landsbankinn's community grants are intended to benefit humanitarian and charitable pursuits, education, science and research, preventative measures and youth activities, environmental issues and culture and arts projects.
The panel of judges was comprised of Ármann Jakobsson, Professor at the University of Iceland, Felix Bergsson, actor, and Dr. Guðrún Agnarsdóttir, who also chairs the panel.
