Búi Örlygsson has taken up the position of Head of Asset Management at Landsbankinn. Búi has 21 years of experience of asset management and has worked for Landsbankinn since the year 2000. Asset Management falls under the Bank’s Asset Management & Capital Markets division.
Búi holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bifröst University, a master’s degree in corporate finance (MCF) from Reykjavík University and is a licensed securities broker.
We thank the previous Head of Asset Management, Kristín Erla Jóhannsdóttir, for her contribution in the past six years and wish her every success.

S&P Global Ratings has today affirmed Landsbankinn’s credit rating and revised the outlook from stable to positive. The Bank’s credit rating is now BBB+/A-2 with positive outlook.

Today, 11 November, 60 years have passed from the founding of scholarship fund Háskólasjóður hf. Eimskipafélags Íslands. The Fund was created in memory of Icelandic emigrants to the USA and Canada who participated in the establishment of shipping company Eimskipafélagið.
