The Government Debt Management Agency published its monthly Market Information report.
Registered unemployment was 11.9% in October, 1.2pp of that figure due to part-time claims.
A total of 6,000 foreign visitors travelled through Keflavik International Airport in October, a 96.5% decrease YoY.
The week ahead
On Tuesday, Registers Iceland will publish the housing price index for the capital region.
We expect the MPC to hold policy rates unchanged on Wednesday.
Concurrent with the interest rate decision, the CBI will publish its quarterly Monetary Bulletin.

We warn against phishing emails that have been sent in the name of the Icelandic Tax Authority (Skatturinn). The email, which is in Icelandic, claims that the tax authorities have updated your tax return information and instructs you to access these details through the Skatturinn service portal by clicking a link included in the email.

Landsbankinn’s branches and Customer Service Centre will be closed on Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Eve, the Bank is open until 12:00, which means that branches that generally open at 12:00 are closed that day. General opening hours apply on other days. The app and online banking are of course available anytime and anywhere.
