Covered bonds

Landsbankinn has set up an EUR 2.5 billion programme for the issuance of covered bonds. Initial issuance of covered bonds was in 2013, with regular issuance since. The bonds are listed on Euronext Dublin.

Outstanding covered bond series

Outstanding covered bonds amounted to ISK 267 billion at year-end 2024.

Licence

On 29 April 2013, Landsbankinn was licensed by the Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland to issue covered bonds in accordance with the Act on Covered Bonds No. 11/2008, and the Rules on Covered Bonds No. 528/2008.

Stress tests

Landsbankinn is obligated to carry out weekly stress tests and verify net present value (NPV) calculations of the cover pool and to disclose to investors key figures linked to the issuance at least quarterly.
