Landsbankinn changes deposit and lending rates, effective as of 1 May 2024.
The main changes are as follows:
Deposit rates
- Variable interest rates on inflation-indexed deposit accounts increase by 0.25 percentage points (pp).
- Variable interest rates on non-indexed deposit accounts decrease by 0.10 pp.
Lending rates
- Fixed rates on non-indexed 36-month loans decrease by 0.20 pp.
- Fixed rates on non-indexed 36-month vehicle loans and agreements decrease by 0.20 pp.
- Variable rates on inflation-indexed loans increase by 0.25 pp.
- Prime interest rates on inflation-indexed loans increase by 0.25 pp.
Changes to interest on loans governed by the Act on Consumer Loans or the Act on Mortgage Lending to Consumers enter into effect in accordance with notifications sent to customers in online banking.
Changes to interest rates on non-indexed accounts provided for in the Act on Payment Services enter into effect with two months’ notice.

Landsbankinn has finalised the sale of 5Y green bonds in the amount of EUR 300 million. This is the Bank’s fifth green bond issuance in euros. The bonds bear 3.75% fixed rates and were sold at terms equivalent to a 155 basis point spread above mid-swap market rates.
