Sports club Leiknir and Landsbankinn have signed a 3-year partnership agreement which will allow Leiknir to grow its athletic achievement programmes and increase outreach in its community.
Oscar Clausen, President of Leiknir: “Our club carries a great deal of responsibility in our community in Breiðholt, not least because of the challenges the multiculturalism and diversity of our neighbourhood present. Leiknir needs help to shoulder all these responsibilities and it is a real recognition to receive such active support from Landsbankinn.”
Sara Pálsdóttir, Managing Director of Community at Landsbankinn: “Landsbankinn supports sports and youth clubs throughout Iceland in various ways and supporting Leiknir’s excellent work in Breiðholt is in line with our focus. Sports play an important part in preventing drug and alcohol abuse, they connect people and contribute to a better, healthier community.”
