You can now use Landsbankinn’s app to grant others view access to your finances or authority to carry out various transactions on your behalf. Cancelling access authorisations is also easy.
Self-service access authorisations in the app is a new service that can be useful for married couples, co-habiting partners and others who want to share their finances.
Giving others access means that you authorise that person to view or carry out actions on your behalf. That person can be authorised to view information about your bank accounts, payment cards, unpaid bills, electronic documents or securities. They can also be authorised to make payments from your account and buy/sell securities on your behalf.
You should only grant access authorisation to persons you know well and trust. This is because the person you grant access to will be authorised to view your information and, if granted access authorisation, to make payments from your account. It is important that you consider carefully whether to grant access authorisations to others.
Access authorisations in the app are located under Settings -> Access authorisations. This is also where you can review the authorisations you’ve already granted and revoke them.
