Landsbankinn’s website has been nominated for the Icelandic Web Awards in the large company category. The awards are hosted annually by the Icelandic Web Industry Association (SVEF), an organisation of professionals in the field.
Awards are granted in thirteen categories and, in addition, a panel of judges selects the best project, design and user interface of the year, and recognises best effort to ensure general access.
Nominated in the same category as Landsbankinn are the websites of EVE Online, Landsvirkjun, Dominos and Íslandsbanki. The award ceremony will take place on Friday, 31 March, at the annual festival of the Association.

S&P Global Ratings has today affirmed Landsbankinn’s credit rating and revised the outlook from stable to positive. The Bank’s credit rating is now BBB+/A-2 with positive outlook.

Today, 11 November, 60 years have passed from the founding of scholarship fund Háskólasjóður hf. Eimskipafélags Íslands. The Fund was created in memory of Icelandic emigrants to the USA and Canada who participated in the establishment of shipping company Eimskipafélagið.
