Landsbankinn’s services will change as of 25 March to reflect tighter restrictions on gatherings enacted to slow the spread of Covid-19. We encourage customers to use Landsbankinn’s app, online banking and ATMs as much as possible. A great deal of banking business can be tended to through these channels, simply and quickly.
Changes to our services extend to Corporate Banking and Vehicle & Equipment Financing.

- Almost all banking business can be tended to through Landsbankinn’s app, online banking and the Bank’s website.
- The Customer Service Centre is open on weekdays from 9-16:00.
- Web chat is open weekdays from 9-17:00.

- Most Landsbankinn’s ATMs are accessible around the clock. The location and distance to the nearest ATM is shown in Landsbankinn’s app. ATMs have both deposit and withdrawal functions and can be used to pay bills, amongst other things.

The department will encompass the Bank’s PR team and its Economic Research Department. Landsbankinn wishes to warn about fraudulent emails currently in circulation, spoofing the Bank’s name and image. The content of the emails is a false notification claiming that the recipient must click a link in the email to confirm a transfer.

Landsbankinn’s Customer Service Centre and branches will be closed on Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Eve, branches will be closed but the Customer Service Centre open between 9-12:00.

Community grants in the total amount of ISK 20 million were awarded from Landsbankinn’s Community Fund Monday 8 December 2025. A total of 32 initiatives received financial support this year. The projects are varied and benefit people of all ages and throughout Iceland.
