According to information from the Civil Protection Authority’s infection tracking team, the necessity of further responses is being considered, including the need to contact customers who visited the branch on Monday and Tuesday this week.
After work on Tuesday, an employee of the branch was informed that a family member he had been in contact with over the weekend, had been placed in quarantine for Covid-19. The employee did not attend work yesterday, Wednesday. He was tested for the virus and late yesterday it was confirmed that he tested positive for Covid-19. The quarantine measures extend to 13 of the Bank’s employees.
Landsbankinn will contact customers who had made appointments at Mjóddin to reschedule with another employee at a different branch.
Self-service equipment in Mjóddin remains available to customers and every effort will be made to ensure that customers receive assistance to use the equipment while the branch remains in shut-down. Customers are also advised to take advantage of the app and online banking.
Update - Thursday, 17 September. Appointments for consultation can again be made at the Landsbankinn branch in Mjóddin through landsbankinn.is or by email to landsbankinn@landsbankinn.is.
